All he has to do is say he is. Never understood why people don’t. You will get an overwhelming amount of support if you are just honest instead of hiding and letting people make shite up.

Probably much harder than you think.

You really can't understand why it would be difficult to admit your demons to the entire fricking community of college football?

Because it’s embarrassing to actually tell people that. Family members or close friends even, not to mention millions of media and CFB fans.

If it’s depression, I feel for Divinity and truly hope he gets the help he needs. It’s literally the toughest thing I’ve ever had to deal with personally - worst of all is you know it’s irrational and want to make it better, but just cannot. And you’re ashamed of this and further blame yourself, so it’s all a vicious circle.

Divinity will always be a Tiger and I’m not gonna knock the guy if he’s battling demons. That’ll be amped up with all the exposure the team gets this season and especially this week. Maybe he realized this and didn’t want to be a detriment to the team knowing he wasn’t capable of being the great player and leader we know he can be. If so, this is the right call.

The truth is we just don’t know the full extent of this and he owes us nothing to lay his personal life out for all to see. I sure as shite didn’t nor wouldn’t.

"You will get an overwhelming amount of support "
yeah you will get a lot of people patting you on the back, telling you everything we are all supposed to say. But at the end of the day there's a job to do, and the people that can get the job done with the least amount of noise are gonna be the ones doing it. Supporting someone and them being able to live their life just like they always have are two very different things.

That is perhaps more true than it used to be, but stop acting naive.

R.T. It’s not easy for a depressed person to admit their depression to the world. The general public isn’t always understanding or reasonable.
