23 HP MudBuddy HD Power Question

Looking at a 16/48 flat with a 23 hp Mud Buddy on it. Typically hunt with three guys and I’m concerned it might be under powered. Not so worried about top sowed just getting up and running.
Anyone running a similar rig?

3 guys + gear is a lot for a 23hp. I have a 35 and adding a 3rd guy bogs it down considerably.

Edit: disregard, just realized you were talking about a surface Drive.
We run a 15 foot Express with a 23 horsepower. With three guys gear and dog, it runs 12 to 13 miles per hour. If we have a long way to go, we use the big boat to tow it close.

There’s no replacement for displacement, go 18’-20’ and 35hp. Short boats and loaded are dangerous.
