His post there says they got married at his home, his dad cooked gumbo and there were about 30 people. This is a “to each your own” thing. If he and she are happy who cares??
Better than going into debt over it as some do. And maybe though for them it wasn’t even financial — maybe they just wanted it that way??

I’m still cracking up about how butthurt that one poster is about ole baw having a funfetti cake at his wedding

He will still be married and having fun with his family and all you “rich” posters will be on third Spouse and hanging at a bar
Cake is very nicely done . wedding looks like it was for the bride and groom and not all the father in laws business clients
