And as soon as the European brands EV's start really rolling out Tesla's market share is going to drop. I think porsche said 80% of their presales were from Tesla owners with Jag and BMW coming along they will be seeing the same. Tesla filled a needed void but their only hope right now is range

I sort of agree. Audi and Merc ev sales have been pretty poor. The GLE EV shares 90% of the parts as the gas version which makes perfect sense except I think EV buyers are still early adopters and want something different.

But...

Once the Taycan gets scaled up, Tesla is going to feel a world of pain. All the knocks on Tesla (small dealer network, impossible parts availability, trade in problems, QC problems) will be non existent with Porsche.

I'm not sure about this.

I think people just don't know enough about EVs generally speaking for their sales to be super high.

But once EVs become more acceptable and more people are wanting them, you could argue this will eventually benefit Tesla as they obviously have the upper hand in all that goes with having an EV car.

range, super charging network, software, safety, among other things. Certainly not just range.
