The NW quarter of I-10/I-49 needs to be blocked off with a 20 foot high electrified fence.

Born and raised in Dat Op.
It is a historical city. Has a number of food places. You have to start with the Trinity of Mama's, Joe's, and Pizza Shack. It also has places like Back in Time, Crawfish House, and Soileau's.
The problem is St. Landry Parish as a whole. Hasn't had the best leadership/direction and has turned down the potential for bigger things in the past.
As far as Opelousas, the downtown area could be ok. However, you have someone who owns all the property that is decaying that had a problem with some leadership, so he refused to sell anything. Thus, you can't do anything there.
My dad always complains when he travels 49 to Lafayette. As you leave SLP, you have a new box making facility. As you enter Lafayette Parish, there is a new FedEx Center. Best explanation right there.
