Cool. Let's just keep it in case they produce anyone else of any quality. That's a brilliant way of setting up a youth system.
What would encourage participation would be more money in the game in terms of player salaries. That's the long and short of it. College soccer is a wasteland. SEC teams aren't going to adopt men's teams.

I always said ncaa soccer would be ideal for age group of 14-18.
