My Biggest Fear That Could Stop Our Offense...

Rain.
The weather can play a huge part in neutralizing our speed. Our offense is all about timing and route running. With a slick field, Auburn’s d-line could wreck havoc.
I think our running game is solid enough to win us some games if needed, but the weather can toss a wrench into our passing attack.

So, the 300 lb dudes are less affected by "slick" than the 200 lb dudes?
I don't get it

The rain drops to like 20% in BR at 2:30.
And besides..
It never rains in Tiger Stadium

The heaviest rain game I can Remember was against Western Kentucky in 2015 and both teams threw pretty well.

Rain will be scattered throughout the day, but it won’t be like you saw in the Georgia/UK game.

It doesn't get talked about nearly as much as passing in the rain, but it's actually much more difficult to pass rush on a muddy field. A lot less traction for the rushers.

Rain affects DBs more than receivers b/c DBs have to turn and react more. As long as Burrow doesn’t have grip issues, passing game will not suffer.

Steady heavy rain. Ts drains really well

None of that will matter. LSU will be playing on the driest 100 yards of grass in Baton Rouge on Saturday.

This is true as well. Receivers have the benefit of knowing where they're going.
As long as you're not playing on an embarrassment of a field, like the 2009 Capital One bowl where entire patches of turf were sliding around when players were making their cuts, they'll be fine.

At the end of the day you have to trust that the LSU Tigers can play in the rain. It's just that simple.
If they can't, then we aren't that good.
Auburn being good should be a bigger fear than rain and wet grass.

Now I'm confused. How the hell will we get no rain, yet play in a mud pit?

A freaking monsoon didn't stop the Miami Hurricanes from throwing the ball around the field on us in 1988.

JOE BURROW LAUGHS IN THE FACE OF WEATHER.

There won't be much rain left by game time and the field drains really. There is no way the turf will be a mud pit.
