I can’t explain it. If I could, with all due respect, you wouldn’t understand. Global strategy and defense of American hegemony is just too complex of a topic. i haven’t spent a lifetime studying it. My limited understanding of it is relegated to an appeal to authority.

frick this bullshite. Guess what? For the first 143 years the USA existed, Turkey (then known as the Ottoman Empire) owned every square inch of what is now Syria. Considering the growth in geographic size, wealth, power, and global influence the US experienced between 1776 and 1919, I’d imagine we’ll do just fine if they took the whole stinking shithole over again.
