This is not correct. What was said is that if a budget deal was not in place, LSU was not going to be able fund the the entire spring semester, and summer school. A significant number of LSU athletes use summer school to make up credits, in fact, about half the football team, so if there was no summer school, LSU would be playing with about half its roster.

The reality is that it is sad that it took talking about LSU football to get the LA legislature to balance the budget, which is constitutionally required. If bridges fall down, schools collapse, if State Police are not funded, nobody blinks an eye.

He didn’t want to. It was an empty threat for political leverage.

They don't. For the record, I am truly an Independent, I despise both parties equally, as they are defined today. The National Democrats are borderline Socialist and the National Republican Party has been dominated by neocons who love to do regime change and start a set of continuous wars as long as somebody elses kids get sent to fight the wars they start. At the National level, both parties can kiss my Sicilian Italian arse.

The democratic party is nowhere near socialist. They are only socially liberal.

That is a matter of opinion. There are indeed Socialist policies dominating the current set of National Dems. This is not a political forum so I am not going to go into detail here.

You’re right. They’re closer to communism than socialism.

I assume you can read. Take a look at the following article. I will even direct you to the appropriate part of the article. Are you ready, see the bold title Background checks, Crime Lab results and Concealed Carry Licenses

LINK

So maybe you think it is a good idea to have a murder occur in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and the local PD having to wait for the Crime Lab results because it can't be fully funded. Maybe you like a bunch of people buying weapons without background checks.

Regardless, you are clueless with your quote because the State Police did in fact get caught up in the recent budget debates per article above. Again, assuming you can read!
