If Jose doesnt get the offers he wants this summer, a quick shift to get the US qualified and coach in a WC seems like it would be very appealing to him.
He would be a god over here if he gets the guys to play. Hes the perfect natty manager. His motivational schtick wont wear off as fast.
Other than that, just go get a pragmatic dude that has some trophies. Would be an upgrade.

I don’t know how many realistic choices there are at this point. Who would want to take over this dumpster fire?
