They have done some laughable things and have some laughable statistics and obviously can’t comprehend very well and I can never take them serious nor will I support them

They have been very wrong on their understanding of the migratory bird treaty act. You can now and have always been able to hunt standing flooded crops. Nothing ever changed

All that said, if they were to try and change some rules such as making it not legal to hunt purposely flooded, purposely unharvested crops that would be fine by me

There is nothing that is “normal agriculture practice” about leaving standing corn or beans, unharvested and flooding them

There should be some exceptions with weather extremities not being able to get crops out but it’s not normal to do some of the things that are being done

You are correct. But in that scenario the flooded unharvested crop is a food plot, no different than planted millet, etc. Still legal to hunt.

The irony here is that "normal ag practice" does not apply. It's clear in the rules that if it's unharvested, as long as it isn't mowed, rolled, or "otherwise manipulated", you can hunt it. As the regulation defines "manipulation", flooding is not considered. Why? Who knows, but I would presume based on the other methods listed that USFWS does not consider flooding to be the same kind of vegetation manipulation. In fact, they even say "flooding or manipulated" regarding natural vegetation, signifying that the two are not synonymous.

I don't care if they ban it or not, but my contention all along has been that if they ban it, FFL better be ready for the northerners to push for a ban on hunting over harvested crop ground and crawfish ponds.

That's a tit for tat game I wouldn't want to play.
