re: [Fellow Old Baws] So I'm having shoulder surgery in under 12 hours... (end NSFW)

Thanks guys. Surgery was delayed 3+ hours while they investigated. Turns out it was/is a blood clot but thankfully only superficial. Didn't even take him getting past "it's not a DVT so..." before I blurted out let's roll. I think most surgeons would postpone but thankful he went about and beyond starting a 2 hour surgery that began after 4. It took maybe 5 minutes to get into the OR and my last memory of it was having to grab the nurse's hand so the oxygen mask held a seal.

Worst thing THUS FAR is having it all slinged up. Best thing is it took me all of 10 seconds to figure out the best way tp use the bathroom. The worst WILL BE hours 49-72 waiting to shower fir the first time. Most annoying, the dang taste in my throat from the tube.
