The complaints were warranted in the first half.

Honestly, I've come to the conclusion this year that this isn't true.

He's clearly taking the "my offense is gonna score so, I'm gonna make you have to prove you can string together a bunch of long assed drives with no mistakes" approach.

It's frankly, an infuriating thing to watch, but, I get the approach. He's not normally a vanilla coordinator so, this approach is definitely calculated.

He has a couple player issues on the back end in terms of who can cover multi receiver sets. And, while he might be able to blitz a lot early, LSU's offense shows us every week that blitzes can sometimes result in very quick points.

Aranda wants to give nothing easy knowing that college offenses will stumble at some point. And, in every game, he's saved his "games" up front for the 2nd half.

It's gonna be hard to watch, but, make no mistake, I don't think it's an accident. The point is to win, and, this seems to be our recipe

Nah we played really soft and UF was grinding the clock and scoring, they were dictating the entire game. We got more aggressive in the second half and it helped win the game

It should be the opposite IMO. An explosive offense gives you the opportunity to take more chances.

If you give up the big play and they score quick, your offense can keep up.

I actually think the approach you described hinders the offense because it keeps them on the sideline too long, watching the D give up 10 play drives. They lose some momentum (not that they did in this game, but you get the gist of it).

Brilliant take. “Let the D stay on the field, give up yardage and possibly points, because we know our O is good.” No way in hell that’s the plan. Dumbest take i’ve ever heard.

How bout get 3 and outs, force turnovers, pitch shutouts, and let the O run up the score?

Aranda has the talent but hasn’t been producing. Look at A&M, FL, S FL, etc. His reputation far exceeds his results.

If the defense made just 2 more plays in the first half particularly on 3rd and long, and if we dont get that bs inteference call on floridas first drive of the second half, this game would have been a serious beat down.

The problem with the approach is allows for the offense to dictate what hapoens, and can(often)give a quarterback confidence.

that was chavis style. it does work. bend but do not break. trade TD's for FG's.

what is inexcusable is YOU DO NOT WAIT for halftime to adjust. that is 1980s shite.
