Comcast offered me their streaming app at a pretty low price when I cut my cable. I didn't even know anything about it, but from what I gather it sounds similar to this DirectTV NOW you are talking about

I didnt know cable offered one but probably so. If they dont start offering it then they are going to lose out on some business.
I got the lowest plan and you can pick your stations from there so you dont have a ton of useless channels.
Its like no matter what service you use now the price per month gets more than you'd like
Once you add Netflix, Amazon, etc. I dropped Hulu though.
