More than the bum-knee QB. Dan Mullen isn’t a fool and Jones is a good QB.

I was thinking that myself. He will give them the run element from the QB position and slow down the blitz package we may put in this week.

I'm not saying you are wrong but I don't see that happening much.
There is a reason he is #3 behind a meh Franks and a meh Trask

I think for sure we do. When he came in last week he looks really solid and would give us fits more than Trask would..especially how much mullen has used the run at QB against us.

Hope so, he was 3rd string for a reason

I'm not sold on Trask's health. I think they're building it up like he's going to play but doesn't, all as a means of hindering our game planning.

I hope so, I have all the confidence in stopping the run, less confident of pass defense over the middle

Aranda defenses have a history of absolutely fricking up finesse running QB’s. Would be interesting

Mullen has only beaten LSU when he had an effective running QB. He has to input Jones during short yardage and red zone situations if he wants to win. Otherwise , Trasj will not be able to sustain drives ( see Auburn) and winter have the big plays against LSU like he did last week.

Maybe some, but I think they go with what got them to this point undefeated.

not sure where he was on the depth chart but I remember one time Tenn put in Clausen and that bum fricked us up.
not this time though...

Inexperienced QB on the road in DV at night?? May God have mercy on his soul!

Ohio State went all-out to sign Jones. Caused quite an uproar when he decommitted. He was the #2 dual threat QB nationally at the time.

Oh yeah. He’s a legit running threat. He’ll play for sure

Maybe in redzone situations

Either way stadium needs to be LOUD. Neither have been in this type of atmosphere and i think it plays a huge part.

Jones will play. They got him in before Trask even went down. They like to use him about as much as the Saints use Taysom Hill at QB (he doesn't play RB, FB, TE, or slot receiver though)

I can see sneaky Dan doing this for a change up.
