I never said he was beyond criticism. I was specifically talking about how a fanbase that has had a very specific stereotype about black qb’s throughout football history, all of a sudden decided the unproven white option qb was a better choice than the younger black pocket passer who has been to the playoffs and the pro bowl.

By the way, Teddy is 3-0 against two potential playoff teams and a division rival. I’m pretty sure I also heard that he is the only Saints qb besides Brees to have 300 yards and 4 tds in a game. Yet there are still people right now, even people who are coming around on Teddy, that believe Hill is the better option.

As I said before, if you flipped the color of their skin, this would have never even been a debate. To deny that, is to say you are blind to the history of all of this.

Teddy, in 2.5 games, didn’t complete a single pass more than 15 yards down field. Anyone would get criticized for that. This week, he looked better, completed several long passes, and the critics shut up because Teddy proved them wrong. That shows their doubts were rooted mostly in his play because they went away when he played better.

FYI I prefer running qbs. Before all the dog fighting stuff came out, Michael Vick was my favorite QB, even though the Falcons were a rival team, because he was just so damn fun to watch. Hill is similarly fun. You feel like every play could be a TD or something you’ve never seen before. I love the option. I love gadget plays. I love gimmicks, and Hill is the best NFL Gimmick/gadget play machine since the Dolphins made the playoffs running the Wildcat.

If you flip the skin colors, there would absolutely have been a debate if the white qb went 3 games without completing a downfield pass. You may be so brainwashed by tilting at racist windmills that you believe otherwise, but that’s simply not true.
