Whenever you talk in absolutes, you're wrong. There are exceptions to EVERY situation.
If a revolver is the weapon someone feels the most comfortable with, it's the best weapon for them. There might be more "logical" choices, but they aren't better for that person.
It may not be the best for you, but don't try to shoehorn others into your choices so you can feel validated in that choice.
A an excellent example of that is the Glock series of weapons beloved by many here. It's an excellent weapon, and meets many of the criteria I'd have for a handgun. However, the lack of a "real" dedicated safety eliminates it as a choice for me. Why? Because of the very remote chance that the weapon it picked up by a child. A simple trigger pull will operated the weapon in that instance. I cannot, personally, accept that risk.

In the context of what the OP asked for, I'm correct. I don't care if you admit it, but I'll keep saying it and I'll keep knocking down any incorrect or irrelevant points made.
Like yours about manual safeties. Personal preference doesn't remove objective data.

Carry what you want, but we aren't talking about a Glock versus M&P here. There are objective facts that we can point to, and have pointed to, that show wide differences between types of firearms.
This reminds me of the vehicle recommendation threads honestly. Someone asks for advice with specifics, and people respond with their recommendations based on personal preference.
