Hog hunting in season question

Every place I’ve been hunting recently hasn’t had a problem with hogs but my new place has a few. Being I’ve never had to fool with him I’m not sure of the laws as far as hunting them in season. Can I bring a friend who doesn’t have a Mississippi hunting license to sit on stand with rifle and try to shoot a hog while I bow hunt at a different stand? Any info is appreciated!

You can, but it would be illegal for him.

Lord no hunting is hunting even if it’s a non game animal in most states.

Any time you hunt, doesn't matter what it is for, a license is required.

I live in the Tupelo area. I have had two game wardens tell me not to worry about being cited for shooting a hog under just about any circumstances, as long as you have a hunting license.
I bet your friend will be OK if he has a proper license, and you aren't caught dragging out any deer with rifle wounds.
