Bingo. Dems see things through a different prism. You ask a Republican a direct question of which direction the sun rises and they tell you the right answer - the east. Ask a Democrat the same direct question and you get an indirect answer - opposite the west. Dems always try to make things more complex than they really are.

God forbid we look into any allegations of corruption! We must surrender to our government overlords. They are above reproach.
These frick heads behave as if they earned their spot and are above question. They did nothing to earn their place. And so they don't deserve to keep them.
We aren't questioning a doctor's decision or an architects plans.
We are demanding answerability for our elected PUBLIC SERVANTS
There is no skill or craft required to be a politician. There is no inherent competition to earn your place.
In fact, the only competitive part seems to be who can lie and swindle more people. And so we are left with a vast pool of swindlers and snake oil salesman.
Our country is broken.

That fracture has been there for a long time. If 14 GOP senators side with the dems to remove him from office it will (1) guarantee the end of that party and (2) perhaps actually spark a civil war.
