I know were not having good gap integrity and that we're not tackling. That's why there scoring on us.
I'm saying, teams have the ball on average 6more times in a game when we run our hurry up ,this year, compared to last year.
It's just inevitable that a team will score more points possessing the ball 20 times in a game versus 26 times in a game..
Theres literally no way you won't give up more more when that happens.unless we jus5 stopped them every time no matter what.
I mean theres stats for how many points per possession a team makes. That tells you that if a team is scoring let's say,for example, 3 points per possession ,and they get 6 more possessions because of our offense this year, then they will score 18 more points a game, once again, on average.
If Opponents get 6more possesions, on average, then last year. Then you can multiply that by the opponents, let's say, 3 points per possession. this example would make it to where it equals 18 more points given up per game, on average.
The opponent getting, on average, 6 more possessions a game then last year.that is a fact, I looked it up,abd did the math.
The 3 points per possession for opponents was just a number I made up to give this example.

There's truth to what you're saying, BUT Vandy had a total of 31 points over the previous 6 games.
This completely misses the point.
The other teams vandy played against ,like Georgia, run a pro style offense. our offense is completely different. We scored so fast that vandy got many more possessions then they got against Georgia. That's why it's impossible to compare us to the other teams they play?
I mean, if you have the ball 25 times in one game versus 20 times in another game ,which game on average do you score more points in?
Georgias great d would have given up 12 instead of 6 if they scored as fast as we did. Georgia's score would go up as well .
This is why points per possession is the best metric there is, for a defensive evaluation
