Ive worked in marketing for fortune 500 companies for years. You get a focus group and show them some story board concepts. We have become so politically correct the focus group would not dare say anything about one containing a minority of any kind. You do the mock ups and show the bosses, the bosses would not dare say anything, so voila you end up with a total misrepresentation of your target audiences in the ads.

I always chuckle at KFC, apparently no black people in America eat fried chicken.

Because usually when they DO add black people to their commercials, they produce hilariously insensitive results for all.
