His receivers or offensive line doesn’t do him any favors and that’s me saying it lightly. His online is not very good

The coaching is also embarrassing. On a couple plays he stood there for 35 seconds waiting on a play call. He was noticeably getting frustrated, but understandably so.

I'll assume that you're talking about TJ Finley, and I totally agree. But, BM is not exactly a powerhouse...and that's coming from a BM grad. I really thought he'd flash but he hasn't. Even on the quick throws, he looks meh.

By comparison, BM held Brennan in check a few years ago. BM had a much better team at the time than they do now. Brennan flashed even behind a terrible line, even though I'm still not completely comfortable with Brennan even after all of these years at school.

We need to get QBs that play high level teams on a weekly basis and produce there. TJ Finley is a shot in the dark, based on potential. Brennan is also a projection. The transfer portal might be the short term answer until we prove that we can develop.

What more do you need to see from Brennan? It’s very clear he can be a high level college QB. Also Brennan broke the Mississippi HS football passing yards record, so it clear he is capable.

Re-read. He was a prolific passer in MS, then got shut down by a middle of the road LA team. Since, he can't get on the field much at LSU. That tells me all that I need to know. I'm pulling for him.

Man this post is cringeworthy. MB is behind a potential first round quarterback

He can’t on the field because the best QB in college plays in front of him. Brennan will be a beast in this system the next two years

Agree, Brennan seems to be taking that next step. Joe has made him better, and taken a lot of pressure off him. Brennan has the stronger arm, just needs to gain weight, touch, and comfortable in the pocket.

They have 7 sophomores playing on offense. He doesn't have talent surrounding him.

People that judge a players worth by looking at stats ONLY, will miss out on some very good players. Finley and Max Johnson both have subpar talent around them. A QB cannot throw the ball to a receiver who cannot get open, he cannot throw the ball at all when he is either on his back or running for his life. The reason some people judge a player based on stats is because they lack the wisdom and knowledge to judge the player based on how they play on film given the entire circumstances of what is going on. Finley looks like he could be a monster running the ball at the next level, akin to Tebow. I think as concerning pure drop back passing skills Max is a little ahead of Finley. That could change once they get to LSU and get instructions and coaching.

Ok but I was more so talking about the fact that they played against a defense that hadn't allowed a score in 10 quarters.
