I used to watch her when David Brinkley hosted ABC's Sunday morning show.
Her family was Louisiana political royalty. None are left here in politics that I know of.
She was democrat that I disagreed with most of the time but she was not abrasive and she obviously was very smart.

People like to say this about leftists. If they were so smart, the wouldn’t espouse a political philosophy that has brought hundreds of millions of murders by government, and eventual collapse, every time it’s implemented.
