It has a lot to do with the driver pool.
Sure, a camry is only worth a fraction of the AMG, but the typical camry driver gets into wrecks a lot more than the average amg driver.
It's not just value. That tahoe had about 1/8th of my turbo's value and liability only was a few bucks a month less than full coverage on the Porsche. Because people who drive turbos are less risky than people who drive tahoes.
