It stands to reason that creating another level of government will come at additional cost.

However, two things.

1) It's been widely reported that St. George pays more in taxes to EBR than services received. And that some of that tax money would stay in St George due to the goofy tax structures in place. It may be that the money that stays home is enough to cover the added expense.

2) Being a conservative republican doesn't mean being against all taxes. It means wanting a fair value of return on your taxes. If St. George is run properly, it might be worth a few extra bucks.

Pretty ironic that this flyer is bashing a deal with Jindal, the ultimate "no tax Republican"
