Someone who wants you to immediately reply and start a long series of text conversations does not actually want to meet you. They just want attention from you.
You have to discern who is serious about dating and who is not. You are correct in delaying your responses and keeping conversations short. The conversations that you do have should be driven toward an initial meeting. That’s when you deliver conversation-wise.

Agreed. I try to keep the messages short and usually 4 or 5 messages and then see if she wants to meet up. Like you said too many women on these dating apps just seem to want attention.
