Grapefruit grow in clusters (hence the name based on the similarity to grapes). It’s usually easy to tell grapefruit in person by looking to see if the fruit is clustered or more separated. Grapefruit are noticeably larger than lemons and satsumas by this time of year.

These are not the size of grapefruit that I am used to. The people are Asian, and they grow exotic squash looking things in the back yard. Makes me wonder if it's something not normally seen around here.
