More criticism of Aranda

There was this article from August that was somewhat critical of Aranda. link I didnt realize the last time we finished number 1 in the SEC in any defensive statistic was 2014, chavis's last year and how much better we were statistically then.
Also I think the Scheme against Ut just plain sucked. We showed 5 and dropped 2 lbs most of the night but they dropped back really too far to make an aggressive play on the qb but had their eyes on him and not the receivers behind them. So the receivers were getting behind them making them completely useless in the middle of the field. So we had like a man free or man zero scheme with these 2 lbs in center of the field doing nothing most of the night. This is why we were carved up in coverage most of the night IMO. Worst of both worlds no rush and no coverage.

Judging by the trend of points and yards allowed just in 3 of the last 4 games, against teams who have qbs that are capable of running and passing, he’s not justifying the designation of highest paid defensive coordinator.

Yeah I'm generally not a huge fan of his either.

"3rd and Chavis" did not happen as many times under Chavis as it has happened under Aranda. His inability to make one defensive stop when the game is on the line is mind-boggling.

Talk to me if we start struggling with against Ole Miss, Vandy, Arky, etc. Good offensive teams are hard to stop these days. Just look at Bama. They regularly get in shootouts with good teams. Also, Herman has and does put up big numbers against good defenses. So yeah, this game doesn't mean much in my opinion. See me at the end of the season.

we still want him to be our HC, don't we? Does this still mean the future of the LSU program is f'd if he leaves to be a HC somewhere?

What number is Aranda on the field and what position does he play?

Ok, let's see if you say the same thing about coach O next time he loses a game.

Yeah actually looking at the stats LINK we have finished 6th and 7th in the sec every year except 16 (his first year) under Aranda in 3rd down pct on defense.

Two game in, we're kicking arse, and the Rant is as nasty as ever.
Our offense is the best it's ever been - Yea, but, who's responsible for it God damn it!?
We went up against a really good offense - Yeah, but, Aranda is paid too much for that shite! We can do better!
Rant gonna rant...

I dunno. Maybe the HC made a mistake giving this guy $2.5m a year. He's clearly not very good.

Sometimes I feel like turning the a/c off in this bitch.

Saban is straight mugging people from his safety position, that is why they have the best defense every year. The only person that can score on him is Dabo, he is a straight baller at WR.

Advanced stats love LSU with Aranda.
S&P+ ranks us 2nd, 8th, and 5th in 2016, 2017, and 2018, respectively.
Counting stats are for the simpleton.

I looked at the stats.
There are some things we did exceptionally well last year:
2 guys in top 5 for interceptions
2nd in turnovers gained
2nd in turnover margin
5th in total defense., we also had the hardest schedule. This was a big debate last year.
2nd in defense against the pass
Number 1 in interceptions
That was just last year. Keep in mind we are also scheduling much harder opponents than teams like Alabama (who also struggles heavily on defense against good competition).
So go ahead. Bring in all your stats with zero context. Because you really have no idea what you're talking about. But don't feel bad. Like I said, rant gonna rant.

People are really trying to run Aranda out of town. I don't get it.

Ask Saban about Clemson.......Or Smart about Texas..... Aranda is doing just fine.

Georgia, a team we killed, put up 400+ on them...
