I was once told here, by a poster who still posts all the time, that god allowed my older sister to be injured in a car accident at 20, and slowly over the course of the next 39 years suffer daily as she slowly withered away...because it would be a good thing for me. In his mind, his god thought so little of people as individuals that he'd use one in such a petty, tormented way to make another one stronger?

The thought is repugnant.

But again, that's not evidence for the nonexistence of anything, other than sense and compassion in those that would believe such things.
