I lived there in the Summer of 2011.

90 days of at least 100F (still a record), and 26 of those days were 105F or hotter (still a record).

I grew up in South La and now live in south Texas and I don't get what people are trying to say by saying it's a dry heat. 94 and 95% humidity and 105 with 70% humidity both equally suck balls.

not it’s not. Austin and DFW both have significant humidity during the summer. not as much as Houston, but still significant. the only time it’s actually “dry” is during the dead of winter during a large cold front from the rockies
