Semi Pro and Walk Hard

Watched both of them this weekend and were both lame. I loved Talladega Nights and thought that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were great in that one, but these two pretty much sucked. They had a few funny parts, but definitely not worth it.

I actually expected Semi Pro to be absolutely terrible after reading some reviews, but I thought it was decent. Maybe my expectations were so low that it helped. I watched the "Let's Get Sweaty" edition, if that makes any difference.
There were definitely some lame parts - I thought Woody Harrelson and Maura Tierny's side story was unneeded and boring, but there were some pretty funny parts. I particularly liked the eye-liner gag.

The best part of Semi Pro was when the ref (who was a preacher) called a foul on Jackie Moon, and he told him "Suck my cock, I'll murder your family." I got the biggest laugh from that part.

I was planning on buying SP last week, but just never got around to it. It'll likely be a while till I see it now.

I thought Walk Hard was great. Best Bob Dylan impression ever.

I just saw Walk Hard this weekend, and IMHO it wasn't that bad. Had a lot of funny parts to it. Tim meadows stole the movie to me. "You don't want no part of this" Hilarious.

Just wanted to jump back in on this thread and say how hilarious I find Walk Hard. One of the more underrated comedies and better spoofs out there IMO....and while on topic I thought Semi-Pro was garbage.
