Good thread. I started going to Austin in the 70s while at LSU. I worked my way through school working for a guy as a waiter and he moved to Austin to open restaurants. I have been a small investor in most of them since over the years.

One deal we did was some sports bars called Cover3 and Cover 2. The owners used to work with us at other places. They are big Texas fans.

We will be at downtown Cover 3 for the game with a big LSU group. All the Cover 3s are pretty nice places with much better than average sports bar food. I suspect the other ones will be all Texas fans. We have a big LSU group at the downtown place.

Our other places downtown are mostly booked. One of my partners is a really big LSU fan from the old days, the other one kind of a Texas fan, but he likes LSU too.

Our ad guy for Cover 3 runs a Texas recruiting site. I met him last year at a golf deal and he came to an LSU game with me. He has been texting me a lot about the game. LSU coming to Austin is a pretty big deal. My Texas buds there are already after me for tickets at LSU next year.

My wife's family likes the cover 3 up in Round Rock

I haven't been yet, but I hear the commercials on the radio from time to time too. Seems they are doing well.
