We know Stingley is the PR, but who is the KR?

Stingley seemed to have been a lock at punt returner since the bowl practices, but there hasnt been much news (That I noticed) about kick returning responsibilities. CEH was there last season and did ok, but I want a legit homerun threat. I read somewhere, if I recall correctly, that Chase was back there a few times. I would also be okay with Emery or another receiver like Jenkins back there. Who do you guys think should be back there?

Chase and Vincent maybe.

Vincent did say in an interview he was practicing there.

Trey Palmer has some serious wheels. Him and Vincent could be fun.

I bet Clyde starts off at kick returner at least. Emery would be the most obvious and interesting choice with his ability to make guys miss. If you’re going by pure athlete then Derrick Dillon, Jontre Kirklin and Trey Palmer would also make sense.

KR is better to have a running back there. Its not about using your athleticism as much as setting up blockers and knowing how to read holes. Most kick returns for TD’s the guy just runs a straight line to the hole then outruns everyone. I would think Clyde and Emery starts back there.

I'd love to see Palmer get a look back there. Sounds like he's showing out when he gets his chances in camp.

Vincent's pure track speed (fastest man in college football!) could be awesome back there. It'd be a throwback to the Trindon Holiday days. That said, our CB depth with Joseph gone gives me pause when I consider throwing one of our top 3 CBs into a return role where he could get lit up.

Palmer would definitely be worth a look, though. And maybe Emery or Dillon. Really a lot of options with the athletes on this team.

Emery

I expect a lot out of him. Hope I'm not wrong.

My hope is that the RPOs will open up the run game better than years past, and allow our guys to get out. Emery could wreak havoc on some secondaries.

This post is most likely the outcome. I do recall now that Vincent did say something about KR, but had totally forgot. We could have some serious weapons in all facets of the game.... should be interesting.

Yeah that is just at home. Remember Fournette just accelerating away from the two fastest DBs on Notre Dame's roster in the bowl game for a kick return TD?

I can recall a couple run back in away games. Mo Claiborne @ West Virginia and Trindon Holiday @ Ole Miss come to mind.
