Can't recommend it enough
First went back in 98, it's changed a lot
Still mystical

I study the causes of WW1 as a side hobby. WW1 would have occurred even without the assassination of Ferdinand and his wife. Russia had borrowed a boat load of money from France and was having trouble paying it back. There was a naval arms race ongoing between Britain, France, Germany, and to a lessor extent Italy and Russia. The Balkans were a powder keg, they wanted their independence but there was a crew of different tribes of religions and cultures existing elbow to elbow. The Ottoman Empire who once controlled this area were fizzing out and Romania and Bulgaria were struggling with Austria for control of the Balkans. Without Princip the war may have started a couple of years later, but it would have still started. Studying this is fascinating because many parallel ,similar events took place when Barry Obama was president.
