Where to stay in BR?

Going to the Auburn game this year, usually when we go to games we head back to New Orleans. This year we are going to stay in Baton Rouge. Any recommendations?

I second the Watermark if you want to go downtown for drinking and partying. It’s probably my favorite hotel in town.
The Renaissance is nice and close to some good bars as well as the mall/Perkins Row shopping.
It’s all about what you’re looking for.

Look in the MidCity area if you are going the VRBO Air bb route. Very cool and up and coming part of town. By game time there will be a brewery, two more bars and a Beer Garden. There are already tons of restaurants. The best thing is you can walk almost everywhere. You are also only 2 miles to the Perkins road overpass, LSU (lakes) and downtown.

Don’t know how good it is but there is a brand new Tru Hotel at CitiPlace.
