This means Brady is calling the offense. Steve is just the OC with puppet strings. If the offense sputters you can book it that O is going to remove Steve's discretion to decline Brady's suggestions.

This will likely be Steve's last year as OC because those strings will start to chafe.

Wait a minute...

I'll assume for the sake of this discussion that Brady will have some degree of play calling responsibility.

You think if things get hairy that Ensminger would be the one who gets cut out of the loop? That suggestion is hilarious.

I think it's the opposite, Brady will be marginalized if things get dicey. Ensminger is the one that's earned the coach's trust, not Brady. This coach thinks the world of Ensminger.
