That's what we doing. She's already working and saving money to make annual insurance premium payment when she gets a car around March next year.

That’s what we did with our son. On top of that he buys his own gas. Only time we doesn’t have to pay these on his own is during football season when he doesn’t have a steady after school job.
Am we didn’t buy him an expensive vehicle either. He’s got a 2003 F150. It’s solid, reliable, and the body is still in good shape. But if something happens to it, oh well, no big loss. I leaned a valuable lesson years ago before I ever had kids, only a fool spends a lot of money on their first vehicle because chances are it not gonna last, especially a teenage boy’s vehicle.
