Fishing Lake Verret, passed a stump full of snakes. About 15 minutes later hear a bunch of popping. 2 ole boys unloading on 'em. We were maybe 150 yards away. About 2 minutes later my uncle is swatting snakes with his rod trying to keep them out of the boat yelling to GTFO

Always been reluctant to tell this story as there are no pics. Me, Papa eagle ND my little bro were in better one day and had 2 of the weirdest this ever happened in the same trip. I caught a small bass and by the time I got him to the boat he had a snake wrapped around him trying to eat him. A little while later we saw a weird disturbance crossing in front of us. Pulled up to it, and it's a 2-headed cottonmouth fighting over a catfish. Damnedest day ever.
