So with classic a few weeks away thought I’d make the game thread.
The server launch list has been released today.
Server list
Note that central time should play on eastern servers for best connection (servers are located in Chicago).
Here is a link to know where the big WoW streamers announce they’re playing so you can avoid them if that’s your preference

They're gonna need more servers. WoW Classic will outperform retail at least for a couple weeks

If you find a list of working add-ons, please post!
I'll be horde, either mage or druid (or possibly shaman). Old guildies from vanilla trying to decide on server, will avoid streamers if possible.

I've been on private servers for a while and Druids are a blast to level. Can fill any role in a 5 man so quick to find groups, and it's nice to switch between tank/heal/dps occasionally.

Yeah it is. You'll have to have a subscription to play on classic servers.

It makes sense, honestly. I’m pretty sure warriors will make up ~20% raid comp on average. There will likely be at most 2 druids per raid. PvP will be similar in many ways.

Meh I've done the raiding multiple times the last couple of years on private, I'm just looking to enjoy the leveling experience.
There may only be 2 druids in a raid, but no one is turning down a competent healer. And that just means more purple pixels for me!

Warriors are really strong in vanilla. Will be top 2 (along with rogues) on dps charts until AQ (so always welcome), can tank or dps in 5 man's, off tanking in raids, very good in PvP. Makes sense they are so popular.

Hey man, it could easily be argued that that’s the BEST part of Vanilla. As long as you’re having fun it’s mission accomplished. I’m just giving you a hard time anyway, bud. My very first toon way back in Vanilla was actually a druid (followed shortly by a hunter). Cheers to a fun run!

Hope I didn't come off that way, everyone picks on the druid :P
Last character I rolled on private (Northdale) was a druid, did every single 5 man (including all the quests) up until ST. Ran out of time/steam but hoping to do something similar in classic.

I'm about to resub and get ready for character creation ( says the 13th, so late Monday night for US?)
Originally I was going to go Gnome frost mage but I think horde has a better overall feel for when I level alts. Undead mage/rogue/priest, troll hunter, orc warrior.
Im not sure how much I'll be able to no life this shite, but I'm hoping for at least 2 hours/day for as long as I can. I have 2 weeks of PTO saved so I might take off 2-3 days at launch depending on how much OT it will cost me.
We should all join the same server whether horde or alliance.
Is this going to be 3 characters per realm or 3 characters total we will be able to reserve?
