Anyone that runs a company which requires manual labor outside in the elements will tell you that a reliable labor source is their number one issue currently and it's only getting worse. In our area anyone that is half way reliable and can pass a drug test is working out in the field for O&G and making crazy wages that construction companies can't match and still be competitive when bidding jobs. I can't blame the men for going out and getting theirs but it sure don't help our situation.

shite, go ask the Directors of Public Works for County and city governments in the Permian Basin about that. They find someone who can operate a backhoe, show up to work on time, and not be drunk or high half the time...oilfield hires them away within 3-6 months.
