You don’t think he can do those things?

I think it takes anyone time to get used to the speed and talent of the college game. Especially in the SEC.

I would be surprised if any player was the best in the country at his position as a freshman.

It happens. Every now and then a Trevor Lawrence type player comes along at any position but don’t act like it’s not surprising when it happens and don’t act like it’s a foregone conclusion 5 days into fall camp.

I get what you are saying but where did you gather I thought it was a foregone conclusion? Like I said, I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t anymore than I would be surprised if he was.

Lawrence may very well have been arguably the best QB in college football last season, but don't forget he didn't even start at the beginning of the season.

Fournette was on a whole different level in college, when healthy. It took him a while to adjust to the college game.

Obviously those are different positions, and it's kind of apples to oranges, but those are both the rarest of the rare talent wise and neither were the best in the game from day one.
