I don’t know about that. It seems to me that “doxxing” is finding and sharing information regarding a person who has some expectation of anonymity. I just do not see that expectation existing for someone who’s name is already published on a campaign finance report.

Maybe I just use the term “dox” differently than you.

Hell, I suspect that we are in agreement as to the assertion that this is pretty low-rent behavior.

Correct. You use doxxing in a way disconnected from its common usage.

I think it meets this definition the interweb gave me. Not too many Americans are savvy enough or will take the time to search the FEC records to hone in on the 44 San Antonians who maxed out contributions to Trump, and then spend the additional time linking those individuals with their business with the intent to inflict financial harm, at the least.

Extremely malicious.

It's not so much doxxing as it is targeting.

Your information is out there...but if an a-hole paints a target on your back.. by posting your information to his a-hole friends, so that they can harass you, your employer and your family.. because of the way you vote.. that's voter intimidation. Sadly though, apparently our government no longer enforces voter intimidation laws.
