They did 2 of them. It's still called "SVP & Russillo" I believe, so they could still pull it off, especially if it's only once a month.

Mina Kimes was on the ringer for a special grouping of podcast for the big little lies show. There could be hope for SVP & Russillo

Not that he won’t be able to go on PMT or anything, but Simmons hates barstool more than anyone at ESPN

Russillo probably hates that everyone thinks of SVP when anything happens with him.

cubsfan5150 I'm not sure that I've heard the guys voice once since he left his daily espn show

Maybe you have a age gap. He hasn't been on traditional media aka radio, cable TV as much but he has made a presence on non-traditional media since leaving ESPN

tried my best because the content is solid, but they really are an unlikable group.

Glad to hear I am not alone.

I still listen because they put out so much content, but I rarely ever make it through an entire pod. They are last on my list if my subscribed NBA pods

I know there is Ringer NBA, but I really would love Ryen's dual threat to turn into half NFL and half NBA. No matter how hard I try, I just don't like the Ringer NBA group.

i agree with you. Bill's pod is far better content

Bill and Ryen NBA pods are the best. There’s few things worse than Kevin O’Connor’s voice.

love Rusillos dual threat pod but yea he needs to have his own NBA pod

I truly enjoy Ryen's NBA stuff over NFL. I actually think his CFB stuff is better than his NFL.

Even though his Dual Threat backup QB series was great

I listen all the time and can’t remember him hating on barstool recently other than when barstool van talk got cancelled. He does say backhanded comments from time to time about pmt being #1 in the pod rankings

RiP SVP and Russillo pod.

Other than that good for him. Hopefully does more pods than just dual threat and BS appearances

If the downloads were high enough ESPN would probably keep letting them do it, especially since it's just once a month. They already let Russilo work for both, now it'd just be someone else paying the bulk of his salary to do it. Plenty Ringer people do ESPN pods and vis versa including Bill. If not more room for "One Big Thing" on the feed.

I do know the ringer guys were salty a couple years ago that “stoolies” were giving bad ratings to all ringer pods on iTunes for a while. Titus talked about that.

I think it goes both ways. And I’m not sure why other than they’re competitors I guess?

They came up pretty much right as he moved to ESPN and took the local mantel for that market. He did not like it apparently.

Portnoy is always complimentary of him and says he was a huge influence on them, but he tried to approach him before at an event and Simmons brushed him off and apparently has made it known through mutual friends that he wants nothing to do with them.

He’s had a couple guys on his pod mention barstool, like Bill Burr and he refuses to acknowledge them directly even though they are clearly his biggest competitor and has plenty of his employees who are chummy with Barstool talent
