So here are my thoughts on some of the readily available mass produced boats.
Some heavy boats are Ranger and Sportsman. Both with nice 24 ft rigs. Sea Hunt also makes a heavy 24 if I remember correctly although not on the same level as Ranger.
Skeeter is always solid.
Blackjack is great as long as you are ok with less than 24 foot. Their big one will be over your budget.
Pathfinder is a great boat and a bit lighter if you want that speed and shallow draft. Still a good riding boat as well.
Blazer is similar to the Pathfinder but not the same fit/finish. So cheaper.
Bluewave and Nautic Star both make pretty well rounded 24 foot hulls.
I am not terribly familiar with Shearwater other than knowing that they are expensive and fast.

I bought a 24 bay champ in 2009 with a Yamaha F250. Loaded out with power pole, gps, trolling motor, onboard charger etc for 51K. The numbers being paid for a bay boat just sound insane. For what it is worth the bay champ was a 48 mph boat loaded down and 51 light. Ride was has good as it gets in a bay boat. A friend has a 24 blue wave with the 300 Yamaha and it runs in the low 50's.

What is the board's opinion of Triton? Older tritons?
