Because that's not either groups primary mission. Why would they call them? Delta Force is the Army equivalent of the ST6 but SEALS get all the publicity.

People keep saying this but its simply not all the way true.

Seals particularly practice for water based things, much more so then Delta would. Now I'm not sure what exactly Delta does more of then Seals, but Seals absolutely do more water based training.

This whole idea that both branches have the exact same is not true at all. They both can certainly do many of the same missions, but they also specialize.

Same thing with most of the military. We spend a ton of money for particular units to specialize. That doesn't mean that's all they do and that all of their missions can only be accomplished by them. Many times over the commanders particular want multiple options.

We had two former Delta guys as heads of security on our compound in SE Asia. Nice guys, but caged lions.

When having a few beers we used to joke with them about how they would beat us in a bar fight.

They nearly always responded with... "You've already lost."
