Jet fuel wouldn’t make the steel beams slice in half and a building fall vertically demolition style.

Jet Fuel would melt the beams to a point where they would bend under pressure and fall sideways.

It’s not the vertical beams that are the issue. They are in compression.

As these do deform, though, it’s the horizontal pieces that fail. They are in tension as they try to hold the structure together, and they are the pieces that fail.
