Now that all the Hancock's stores have closed where can I find good fabric to sew dressy clothes? The only sources for any fabric around Ponchatoula are Hobby Lobby and Wal-Mart and they sell mostly cotton for quilting or casual clothes. I like challis a lot but don't know where to shop for it. I am willing to drive to New Orleans or Baton Rouge if need be.

Maybe give AllBrands a call. They have one in Metairie and Slidell. I've seen decent stuff there, but I don't know everything they carry.

You can also buy fabric online. The website spoonflower
Will even print up special fabric for you. Its costly but for custom made prints, it rocks.

So what do you sew? Just curious cuz the wife likes to do quilts, costumes and such.
