Listened to the title track. It's good. It's tool. I'm a fan already, and I will like it even more the longer I listen to it and digest it.
Nothing they make will ever top Lateralus. That album was transcendent in a number of ways. It was truly pure genius. The three tracks I've heard from this album are definitely tool and I can't wait for more.
I agree that this definitely seems like the album opener, I wouldn't put it past Maynard since ETE was the opening track on the last APC album.
Love that he is going with the same vocal style as ETE, that was the best part of that album for sure.
