Sorry but the nickel spot belongs to Jacoby Stevens. In fact Jacoby is the 5th dB in almost any package I’d put on field with Fulton, stingley, delpit.

Now maybe he takes Battles spot.

He has the attitude and confidence to be realllly good. Back that talk up on the field and he may have a massive year. Looking forward to seeing him play

Unfortunately Kelvin Joesph leaving (for whatever fricking reason) means they probably are going to have to move Kary back outside

This is simply not correct. Stevens has never played the nickel role, he is a hybrid safety/LB. He will either start at safety or OLB, or be brought in in dime packages as well.

Vincent started at nickel all last season. Steven's role is not to cover slot WRs in the 3rd CB on the field role.

I can’t help but think part of Joseph leaving was because of Hampton. It’s the only difference between his first foray into the portal and now.

So why the hell would they move Vincent there when he started at NB all last season? HE's the starting NB this year once again.

Because what player in the history of football has played every snap of an entire season? The depth outside took a hit and is now an issue

He's got the speed and ball skills to have a good impact. He got caught in some mismatches last year with a height disadvantage. He should have more favorable matchups this year in the slot.

Joseph was being moved to Safety this year, why would him leaving affect where Vincent is playing at all?

We just added a ton of corners, we have zero need to move our starting NB out to backup CB for this year, that literally makes no sense. Vincent is on the field a ton at NB. He played 610 snaps last season playing NB all year except the bowl game when Greedy sat out and Fulton was out with injury so he played CB.

Absolutely. He has the talent to start on the outside on 97% of other P5 teams. What's great is he's only a junior so we can look forward to another year of him holding down the nickel slot.

You sure about this? Stevens is almost a linebacker, you really think he can shadow slot receivers?

Just admit you were wrong dude. Vincent could move to the outside if we had a ton of injuries there, but otherwise he's going to be in the nickel where he was all of last season
