Right.

It was a lie designed to shrink the distance what he thought was going to be his opponent in John Kennedy who was and still is pushing work requirements for medicaid.

Also it was an effort to bait Republican legislators into putting themselves in the position of being grinches who stole away poor people’s health insurance – so he could then run against heartless Republicans for doing that.

Louisiana GOP didn't bite.

And JBE had the senate kill bills carrying the work requirement anyway thanks to his ownership of John Alario.
